I was out on a regular run around the back roads of Renfrewshire when I cycled by this, I thought I was seeing things so a quick turn back and aye, I saw correctly.
An Elizabeth II cypher post box..
as the info says it is a Private Box..
History shows that these boxes were not welcome in Scotland when introduced, Elizabeth II of England but then she would be Elizabeth I of Scotland.

They decided to make the Crown as the symbol to be used on post boxes erected since 1950’s as in this example below
I assume if Charles succeeds to the throne, the Crown will still be used as he would be Charles III of England..
