As part of the celebration of Homecoming Scotland 2009, the licensing authority, OFCOM are issuing a callsign NOV (Notice of Variation) to celebrate the event, Scottish radio amateurs will be able to apply to use ‘A’ as the  secondary locator, the present one is ‘M’, the ‘A’ stands for Alba , for Scottish radio amateurs wishing to take advantage of this opportunity click HERE.

The NOV for the ‘A’ secondary prefix, if issued will be active until midnight on St Andrew’s Day 30th November ’09.
