Our New Addition to the Blog Team….
January 27, 2013 7 Comments
Welcome to our new contributing blogger…
Lance Mhor.
Lance is going to add a new dimension to the blog with his witty observations as he travels the highways and byways. Look forward to the occasional post during the summer months but initially trips around the local area. I’m sure this will add more variety to the usual radio and hill stuff that I write about.
Lance has been out of the saddle for decades and will take more than a while to get up to speed but the first 7 mls are under his belt although as you know Lance isn’t very aerodynamic and it showed into the teeth of a very strong breeze earlier today. Oh and that seat is like a razor…Gel seat on order.
Todays route..

Wow, there will be no holding Lance back now. Performance enhancing additives like cider and chocolate are perfectly legal, so fill yer boots and those modern frames must be much stronger than they look!
. As the old yellow pages advert said ” Ah were right about that saddle though “. Not the WX for venturing far today, but I wish you many happy miles under your wheels.
I remember cycling up to 100 mile in a day years ago on my racer and my rump never hurt as much as it did after only 10 minutes on my mountain bike 2 months ago – FIVE days of agony!
Looking forward to your new alter ego taking over now and again, occasionally, frequently, mostly, always — Bobby, Bobby wherefore art thou Bobby?

Thanks for the welcome !
I’m sure your good selves and the original Mhor will appreciate my input.
Yes, I can assure that cider and chocolate will be used as fuel although petrol may have been a better idea..
The seat is to be changed to a gel one although as I’m portly I still find the ‘padding’ doesn’t work with the ‘razor’ seat.
Onward.
Lance
What you now need is a rucksack special and frame mounted handie for bicycle mobile.
Anyway-what happened to the photo of the big chap in his shorts? you have to look the part too!!

I’m a shy big fellow…no photos.
I’m sure I may appear at some point but.I can assure you I had the shorts on today, not lycra though.
Lack of my fitness on hills showed today but I’m sure I will improve but still got seven miles in, a good start.
Lance.
Superb! All hail LANCE!
Today it should have been ‘All HELP, Lance !’..
that seat has pained me..
but onward !!!
Thank you for all your comments…
